According to US media, another attempt was made to attack the Capitol Hill building in Washington DC, but the security forces foiled the attack when one officer including the attacker was killed and another was injured in the incident.

According to media reports, the suspected assailant first drove over security personnel stationed outside Capitol Hill and then the vehicle hit a security barrier outside the building, after which the assailant got out of the vehicle and approached the security personnel with a knife. Earlier this year, five people were killed and 52 were arrested as a result of raids by Trump supporters on the US Parliament and police shelling.
