The Great Parade of Egyptian Mummies with Royal Protocol

Cairo: The Pyramids of Egypt, Pharaoh and the mummies are always in the news in Egypt, whether it is a small pyramid or the Egyptian king or queen buried in it, the Egyptian government still gives them the same royal protocol that he continued to enjoy in his life.

Eighteen Egyptian kings and four queens were transferred from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. It was a routine operation, to say the least, but the transfer of these artefacts dazzled onlookers.

Roads along the Nile were closed to allow the remains of the royal family to be taken to the new museum, which ruled from the 11th to the 16th BC. Before leaving the museum, a musical band stood up and saluted them.

After that, the girls dressed in the clothes of the ancient Egyptian maids formed a two-line procession holding beautiful trays in their hands. First the capsule of King Ramses V was brought out, then each mummy was taken out of the museum according to its rank.

According to Egyptian archaeologist Zahi Hawass, special nitrogen-filled capsules were developed to protect the mummies from their new resting place and to protect them from external influences. Special golden vehicles were also developed to keep these capsules stable.

"These mummies deserve the same glory, they were the kings of Egypt, and that's why we performed their transfer ceremony with the whole Cruyff," he said.
